Colby Classic Fishing Derby

Gear up for two days of solid water fishing at the Colby Classic Fishing Derby! Join us for an exciting weekend of trout, salmon, and perch fishing on Lake Colby, as well as Pike fishing in surrounding areas. This event promises to be the best one yet!

Event Details:

• Dates: March 1 & 2, 2025
• Location: Lake Colby and surrounding areas

Highlights:

• 41st Annual Derby: Celebrate four decades of fishing excitement and camaraderie.
• Trout, Salmon, Perch, and Pike Fishing: Compete for prizes in various categories for the largest, by length, fish.
• Open to Youth and Adults: All ages welcome to participate in the fishing fun.

A member of the community has generously stepped forward and offered to cover ALL YOUTH REGISTRATION FEES for the 2025 Colby Classic Ice Fishing Derby in memory of Joseph E. Boyle "Joey". "Our hope is that this sponsorship could give a child- someone who might not have the had the chance- a shot at entering the Classic and maybe even finding their own passion for fishing" they said. Last year we had 51 youth entries. With this offer, we hope to sign up 100, each of which will receive a great little gift. Please share!
