Experience the magic of winter with a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the scenic trails of the Paul Smith’s College VIC. Offered by the Paul Smith’s College Draft Horse Club, these nostalgic rides provide a perfect way to embrace the season.

When: Every Sunday through the end of March (weather pending)
Ride Times: 11:00 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.
Cost: $25 per person
Capacity: Limited to six guests per ride
Registration Required: Book in advance to secure your spot

Snuggle under a warm blanket as you glide through the forest, then return to cozy up by the outdoor campfire or enjoy a meal inside the Frank M. Hutchins Lodge.

Horses have long been part of the Paul Smith’s College experience. Through the Forestry Department, students learn practical horse care and driving skills, and the Draft Horse Club remains one of the college’s most active student organizations. The club also offers free wagon rides for students, organizes community outreach events, and partners with local farms, the VIC, and the Town of Saranac to expand educational opportunities.
