Weekend Events Forecast
As the holiday weekend approaches both the weather and the event forecast are looking superb. And while we know Mother Nature can change her mind at a moment's notice (keeping our fingers crossed) we know that the event forecast is pretty much set to go rain or shine! If you are looking to join in some of this weekend's festivities, here is a quick run down of what's in store...

Fireworks

Let's start with what we know you're looking for... when are the fireworks? July 3rd is the day, dusk is the time. Friday evening, the Tupper Lake Municipal Park will be filled with activity as friends, neighbors and new acquaintances come together for the annual Tupper Lake Fireworks Display, a show which we might add is guaranteed not to disappoint!
Chicken BBQ

The annual Tupper Lake Independence Day Chicken BBQ will take place the Tupper Lake Municipal Park Pavilion starting at 3pm. Stop by and get your fill as the Moose Lodge grills up a superb 1/2 chicken meal sided by corn on the cob, baked beans and salt potatoes. Dine at the pavilion or take your meals to go. Either way you are sure to be able to enjoy more time exploring with your family and less time slaving over your own grill or stove.
The Great American Garage Sale
July 3-5, 2015
Calling all treasure hunters, pickers and bargain shoppers: the community of Tupper Lake will once again host The Great American Garage Sale starting on Friday, July 3rd and running through Sunday, July 5th. From arts and crafts to antiques, furniture, toys, jewelry and more, this town-wide garage sale is sure to have something that you are looking for (whether you know you needed it or not). The Old Home Softball Tournament
July 3-5, 2015
The baseball field at the Tupper Lake Municipal Park will be alive with action on Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5th as Tupper Lake hosts the largest softball tournament of the year. Aged in tradition, The Old Home Softball Tournament has sparked new life over recent years, and now attracts teams from throughout the region to come compete for the much deserved bragging rights and the $1,000 grand prize.
The Makers: Opening of Wild Walk

Saturday, July 4th will be an extra special day for Tupper Lake as it marks the 10th Anniversary of the Wild Center and the opening of the much anticipated new Wild Walk. The Wild Center is celebrating with a special event where all of the creators of Wild Walk will be on hand (from the exhibit team to the fabricators, and the architects who designed the structure) to mark the official "skybreaking!" There will be opportunities throughout the day to explore Wild Walk on your own, speak with the Wild Walk makers as well as the Wild Center naturalist to answer your questions and more!
Live Music!
July 3-4, 2015
As part of the Miller Lite Summer Concert Series presented by P-2's Irish Pub, Independence Day weekend will feature two live shows at P-2's Irish Pub on Main Street in Tupper Lake. On Friday, July 3rd on your way to the fireworks at the Park, swing into P-2's for some tunes from local musicians Jamie Savage & Dave Ruch. July 4th will be marked as "Classic Rock Night" with a live show from the band: Legend.
Outdoor Movie Night at Little Wolf Beach

Grab the family and head down to Little Wolf Beach as the Town of Tupper Lake's Recreation Department kicks off their summer movie series with a showing of "Big Hero 6" at the Little Wolf Beach Pavilion.
