Mountain Madness Quilt Camp & Show
Always wanted to be able to quilt like your grandmother? Here is the perfect opportunity to learn! On August 6th, 7th, and 8th, the Tupper Lake Arts Council and the Stichin’ Bs are putting on this affordable quilting event. The Mountain Madness Quilt Camp & Show is held up at Big Tupper Ski Area and open to all. Last year more than 130 amazing quilts of all styles were on display. Anyone looking to learn a more about quilting should check out this event. This year’s show is said to be better than ever, you don’t want to miss out!
Rock The ARC
Who doesn’t love music, food, and beverages…with free admission!? On August 8th, the Adirondack ARC will be putting on this festival to support the needs of people with developmental disabilities. Gates open at noon, and live music begins at 1 p.m. Designed as fun for all ages plan to join Rock The ARC for few hours or more! There will also be the annual 500-club raffle drawing where someone will win $10,000. Don’t skip this awesome event!
Tupper Lake Open
For the golf enthusiasts, The Tupper Lake Open will be held on the 7th, 8th, and 9th of August. Pros from all over the North East will be there to join in on some serious play, and good times. Once called the ProAm, the event is still one where Pros and Amateurs compete. Amateurs are divided into three flights based on handicap. Flea Market
On August 14th, 15th, and 16th the annual Tupper Lake Masonic Flea Market will make its way to Flanders Park for the 42nd year. This three-day event offers shopping with a view as you walk along the shores of Raquette Pond searching through many different collections. You will find some barter, trade, and true salesmanship as collectors and shoppers sift through the belongings of others. Come enjoy this historic Flea Market and find a new-to-you treasure or two!
Beachfest
On August 15th, the Town of Tupper Lake will hold the third annual Beachfest at Little Wolf Beach. This is the perfect event for kids, and features games, activities, and competitions for all ages. From watermelon eating to a mini paintball triathlon, there are many events to keep the kids busy! Phil Singer will be back once again to create another six-foot sand sculpture. Throughout the day and between competitions be sure to take a swim in Little Wolf Pond and enjoy the sunshine.
