Explosion of Flavor
Tupper Lake has had a resurgence of eateries within the last couple of years. Adding multiple businesses like Well Dressed Food, Big Tupper Brewing, and Amado Bakery & Bistro has helped our restaurant selection develop and it's given travelers a better choice when deciding where to go out to eat. These new businesses have also brought some life back to storefronts, giving Tupper Lake a fresh look. Now it's time to explore these new restaurants and experience the tasty meals they have to offer.
Introducing...
For the first time, Eat ADK Restaurant Week is coming to Tupper Lake. From April 27 to May 4, four restaurants in town will participate in this event. Among the participating restaurants in town are Amado Bakery & Bistro, Big Tupper Brewing, P-2’s Irish Pub, and Marketplace Pub & Deli Last year, the event took place in Lake Placid, and this year it is expanding to surrounding areas.
The goal of Eat ADK is to bring visitors to the area to dine and stay in the Adirondacks, and to give locals a chance to try restaurants they might not usually visit. Each restaurant will have price-fixed menus with affordable dining options, ranging from $15 to $30.
Eat Up!
Amado Bakery & Bistro
Amado’s is serving up a menu style you won’t find anywhere else in town. “A tribute menu to some great chefs of our time” is the constant theme running through this $30 price-fixed menu. Some of their menu items include a “gallette de crabe” (crab cake) appetizer, steak Diane, and delicious desserts. Stop in and have meals attributed to Chef Emeril Lagasse, or Chef Jean-Georges, among other chefs on the list.
Big Tupper Brewing
The brew pub is offering a price-fixed menu at $15, where you can choose one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert from the menu provided. Also included in that $15 price is one pint of beer. Menu items here include their poutine macaroni and cheese, and the famous Touk float dessert. I might have to go just for the touk float — what's better than homemade ice cream and beer? Stop in and try one for yourself!
Also happening during Restaurant Week is Jim + E performing from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at the brewery. Don’t forget: When you visit the brewery stop and check out the store, which is filled with BTB gear.

P-2’s Irish Pub
Who doesn’t love some deep fried pub fare? The Irish Pub is offering a $20 price-fixed menu featuring delicious plates. Menu items include P-2’s famous jumbo wings, a pub burger and fries, or a fisherman’s platter, among other options. The friendly staff and great drinks will have you spending your whole night there. Stop in to catch live music, or try your hand at karaoke!
Marketplace Pub & Deli
The Market Place Pub & Deli has a large menu, and for $20 you can choose from a variety of appetizers and meals. Try one of their quesadillas; the steak fajita quesadilla is my favorite. The Marketplace is also known for its awesome desserts. Stop in to try some homemade sweets! The Marketplace will host Trivia Night on Tuesday, May 2, starting at 7 p.m.
Dinner and a Movie
During Eat ADK week, the State Theatre and the Palace Theater are offering $5 movie passes. When you dine at a participating restaurant you will receive your discounted movie pass. The movie passes are only valid during Eat ADK week. Go out to dinner and relax afterward with a movie!
Also Happening in Tupper
Taste of Tupper
Along with Eat ADK Restaurant Week, select restaurants, breweries, and pubs in town are also participating in “A Taste of Tupper.” The idea is simple: Spend $10 at any four participating establishments and you will receive 15% off at any participating establishment on your next visit. You can pick up a free “Taste of Tupper” card at any participating restaurant. Just get it stamped every time you spend more than $10. There are 13 restaurants taking part in "Taste of Tupper." It is a great opportunity to get out and experience the new offerings our town has.
