In 2024, Mount Morris (Big Tupper Ski Area) entered an exciting new chapter with its purchase at auction, paving the way for potential redevelopment and renewed energy at this historic New York ski destination. With impressive terrain across 25 trails, Big Tupper also boasts one of the top five vertical drops in the state, offering runs for all skill levels, from beginner to expert. Latest Update on Big Tupper
In 2024, following years of closure, Mount Morris (Big Tupper Ski Area) was purchased at auction, under new ownership there are plans to reopen the mountain for public use. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
Big Mountain - Big Spirit
Big Tupper Ski Area is a true representation of the Tupper Lake community spirit. After a nearly decade-long hiatus, the mountain reopened in 2009-2015, supported by dedicated volunteers and community members who ensured its continued operation. The family-oriented atmosphere made Big Tupper a welcoming destination for alpine skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts.
